About Face by Mel Cruz: Bridal Hair & Makeup Artist in Metro Manila

"When I was a little girl, I would draw women's faces on grade six pad paper and pretend they are contestants of a beauty pageant. With my box of crayons, I would color the eyes, lips and cheeks. Then my 3 sisters would judge the winner. Sometimes, I would also play with mommy's makeup and experiment it on them. My family encouraged me in what i do."

Mel Cruz is a degree holder of Commerce Major in Economics from the University of Santo Tomas. She lead a corporate life but the passion to bring out beauty in women is still within her. She gave up her career from one of the top corporations in the country to do what she love the most.

She's a born (make-up) artist at heart. Her techniques always raise eyebrows of fellow make-up artists- because for her, there are no rules in make-up; She just finds fun in what she does

In between weddings, she juggles working for fashion magazines as well as ramp.

Her forte is in opening up the eyes to brighten up the faces and covering flaws and imperfections. She gives personal touch to every bride she encounters, and understands their needs. Most of all, she listens and is open to feedback from clients.
